RC Flail Mower

My latest project is a VIGORUN remote-controlled flail mower: a tracked machine with a flail cutting head, driven from a handheld radio transmitter instead of a seat.

It came from China by freight forwarder and was dropped off on November 2, 2026 in a wooden crate: 1780 × 1040 × 900 mm and 368 kg gross. The tractor’s pallet forks moved it into the barn, and I unboxed it on November 5.

The photos below run from the delivery truck to the first charge: moving the crate, unwrapping the mower, the flail head and the control panel, spare flail knives, the 48 V charger and the transmitter. The charger shipped with the wrong plug adapter for US power, so that needed sorting out before the first charge.
