Ferry Road Project

The Ferry Road Project is a 12-acre site on the grounds of the old Ferry Road Dowel Mill in West Bethel, Maine.
The photos start with the listing aerials and a snowy walk-through on January 1, 2024. Most of 2025 went to demolition and cleanup: tearing out old insulation and drywall, trenching floors, new windows, house wrap and framing, and a lot of tractor and mini-excavator work outside. By late summer 2025 one building had new siding and a birch-and-heron mural by Mattie Rose Templeton wrapped around its walls.
In 2026 the site became home to the West Bethel Makerspace, a community workshop and tool library with a woodshop and a digital fabrication lab. On September 6, 2026 it was a stop on the Mahoosuc Art & Agriculture Tour, with local artists and a family-friendly craft for native pollinators. The fall 2026 photos show the trails being cut through the woods on the property.
